At Nord & Neige, every litter grows up in a hand-painted chalet at the foot of the Saguenay fjord — in the rosemaling tradition our family carried over from Norway.

Our Samoyeds aren't born in an anonymous pen: they're born in a room of the chalet that Ingrid painted herself, with rosemaling scrollwork and tulips — the very room where her grandmother, who came from Norway, once painted wooden trunks.
We believe a well-socialized puppy starts with a warm environment: household sounds, children passing by, the scent of the forest drifting in through the chalet door. That daily contact is what shapes calm, affectionate Samoyeds.

Health-tested before breeding
Hips, elbows, eyes (CAER) and the genetic panel specific to the Samoyed. Results are handed to you directly, never just summarized.
Nordic socialization
Daily handling, exposure to cold, snow and chalet sounds from birth. A solid Samoyed doesn't happen by accident.
Lifelong support
Guidance on grooming, climate and the breed's energy. And if you can no longer keep your dog, they always come back to us.

Descended from the Nenets people of Siberia, the Samoyed once herded reindeer and pulled sleds through extreme cold. Its thick white coat and famous "smile" have made it one of the most endearing dogs of the far north.
We don't chase trends: we raise a single breed, the one that most resembles our own Nordic story — and we know it thoroughly, rather than spreading ourselves across several.

Tell us about your lifestyle and your climate: the Samoyed keeps its thick coat year-round. We reply within one to two days, honestly.
We meet at the chalet
Visit by appointment in L'Anse-Saint-Jean. You'll meet Freya and Björn, our breeding dogs, and see the hand-painted room where the puppies are born.
Reservation and matching
A $600 deposit secures your spot. Matching happens around six weeks, based on observed temperament — never on a photo.
Going home at eight weeks
Your puppy leaves vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and vet-checked — with a health record and a small hand-painted keepsake.
