Even Edvard Munch had a Samoyed.
The Norwegian painter Edvard Munch, a towering figure of Nordic art, painted his companion alongside her dog near the very end of his life. A small reminder that the Samoyed has been part of the Scandinavian cultural landscape for a long time — long before it ever reached us here in the Saguenay.
